Walk The Beach

from Not From Here by Kevin Matthews

/

lyrics

I walk along the seaboard
The waves crash to foam on the shores
The serpentine of the ocean's green
Is cast against their moorings.

And sometimes I wonder what is like
To be on the sea as the morning light
Comes up the horizon, the sun filters through the clouds
So the day fills your eyes in, you wonder aloud

I can see a boat on the waves
And I want to be there
Out on the rolling tide
The spray in my hair.
And I know that sometimes, life isn't fair.
So I walk the beach again.
All along the boardwalk
People gather 'round
Just to hear with waiting ears
The young musician's sound
As he plays, golden rays come peeking through the clouds
And the day's misty haze turns away from the ground

So the day fills your eyes in, you wonder aloud.
I can see a boat on the waves
And I want to be there
Out on the rolling tide
The spray in my hair.
And I know that sometimes, life isn't fair.
So I walk the beach again.
I just walk beach again.
-
I can see a boat on the waves
And I want to be there
Out on the rolling tide
The spray in my hair.
And I know that sometimes, life isn't fair.
So I walk the beach again.
I just walk beach again.
